First Impressions: L'Oreal Telescopic mascara! I have heard a lot about this mascara through blogs and YouTube videos so I decided it was time to test it out! My first impression of this mascara is that it is fabulous. It has one of the small brush applicators for more of a fine detail and it works amazing. I am able to use it by its self because I already have thick eye lashes so this mascara gives me amazing length. This mascara is best for making your lashes wayyyyy long. If you have thin lashes I would use this mascara with another one that helps thicken your lashes. Usually mascara with a big brush applicator is best for creating thicker lashes. I really really like this mascara and I would buy it again and again 😍 I got mine at Target for $7 but I'm sure you can get it at any drug store or Ulta!!
One of the most important things when you do your makeup is making sure to set your makeup with a sort of powder. I like using translucent powder mostly to put over my foundation after applying it because it sometimes looks oily and the point of a translucent powder is to absorb that access oil and make your makeup last for hours! I sometimes will also use these translucent powders to set my concealer as well. Making sure you have some type of powder over both your foundation and concealer is highly important. So here are my most favorite translucent powders and I highly recommend that if you are not using one now to start! If you feel like your foundation looks greasy this maybe be your problem. Add a translucent powder into your routine and you will see a huge different! Another tip NEVER use a powder foundation to set your liquid foundation. That's just like putting more foundation on top of of your layer of foundation. That will cause your makeup to be cakey. Nyx HD finishing powder; Ulta for $10! There are I think three different shades of this powder. I have the white one and that's what I use on the foundation and sometimes concealer. I feel like the other shades that are more skin tones would work better with concealer. But this powder is off the charts great for both oil absorbing and long wear. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder; Ulta or any drug store $5! I would honestly say I think this powder is my favorite. You can just see a automatic change when you put it on. This is the only one I use more frequently for my concealer as well. I wanna say I use the beige shade if there is one but I'm not one hundred percent positive. When you are picking a shade pick the shade that is one shade lighter than your skin tone for foundation and two shades lighter for concealer. There are tonsss of different colors of this powder so you shouldn't have a problem finding the perfect match for you. This powder is best for keeping your makeup long wear. Maybelline Translucent Powder; Ulta or any drug store for $10! This one is definitely what I use for both foundation and concealer as well because this is a loose translucent powder and I feel that it is needed in my purse at all times because it's an amazing powder for absorbing oils. I can't necessarily say that any of these are better than the other because they are all seriously so amazing. I don't think I will ever go without having all three at once. Just pick which ever one you want if you think of purchasing one. If you don't see great results move on to another. But I can promise you that between these three you will fall in love with a least one of them. So everyone who is usually a human being gets some type of blemish at some point in their life. If you are like me you have used nearly thousands of different products and you are pretty convinced that there is absolutely not one thing that will get rid of your acne over night. BUT WAIT ONE MINUTE. I have found the ultimate holy product sent to Earth straight from God!!! The Mario Badescu drying lotion happens to be that product! I'm not exaggerating when I say it is the best stuff I've ever used! It's so simple too! All you have to do is dip a qtip down into the bottle making sure it hits the pink sediment at the bottom then pull it out and apply it right to your acne. Make sure NOT to mix the product. I REPEAT DO NOT MIX IT. The pink bottom and clear top is supposed to be that way. One tip with this is make sure you apply it really thick. When I first used it I didn't apply it so heavy and it never worked so I was disappointed. But I decided to just pack that stuff in there one night and I woke up acne free. Don't be alarmed that when you put this on your face you will have abunch of pink dots all your face. That's how it is supposed to look. Do this routine right before you are about to hit the sheets and when you make up wash your face to discover pimples have disappeared! I got my drying lotion from Ulta for only $17!!! Contour kits holy lord. Since makeup is taking a lead and contouring is like the big thing knowing the best powder contour kits is important. These are my top three so I hope you love them!! 1.) The Nyx contour kit: okay so the Nyx contour kit is what I recommend to beginners. Anyone just now getting into makeup and not being sure about what they like get this first!!!! All of the powders are amazing and have great consistency. These powders are refillable like the Anastasia. So if you run out of one specific color instead of having to buy a whole new palette you can buy the individual color!! This palette is only $25 and well worth the money! 2.) AHHH the famous Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour kit. It's is amazing and so worth the talk about it. The powders are flawless, they are long wear and very flattering. Though I do only recommend this kit to people who already kinda understand what they are doing and are understanding the different colors and what not. These powders are refillable and when you get a contour kit from Anastasia there are more than just the original 6 color options. If you need darker bronzes they have them. If you order the kit online you can even customize it!! These kits are $40 and you can get them at ulta or online! 3.) lastly is the Too Faced Cocoa Contour. This is just another kit I picked up because I was wanting to kinda explore other kits rather than just Anasastia. The colors in this are amazing, though they aren't refillable and there aren't a lot of options I really love this contour kit. I feel like the colors are long wear and give a really good natural look. I recommend this to someone who is very familiar with their face and knows this will work for them and they can get good use of it. I prefer this to someone who may not be focused on contour but still wants something there! This kit was also $40 and is available at ulta! Okay well I haven't wrote in a while and have not a clue what to write about so what better than Beauty Hacks?!?! So I'm gonna list my top 5 beauty hacks here for you sweet things 💕💕 #5: how to properly get rid of unwanted mascara. Every girl gets mascara on their eye lid or under the lash line. Your first thought is to lick a qtip and rub it. NO don't do it!!! Let the mascara dry completely and then when you finish all your makeup take a qtip and the dried mascara should easily flake off. #4: Scotch tape for flawless winged liner?? Yes! If you are a beginner and winging your eye liner is your worst enemy this trick is so helpful. Take a small piece of scotch tape and line it with your bottom lash line and stick it to your face. You will look funny yes but then apply your liner according to the the tape. Remove the tape and WOAH perf winged liner. #3: take a blow dryer to your eyelash curler prior to curling your lashes. Use your blow dryer on the lowest power and heat your eyelash curler for about 3-5 seconds. Then curl your lashes. You will be highly surprised at the difference if you were to use it without the blow dryer step. #2: use a white eye liner on your lid before using a light color or shimmer to brighten it. White eyeliners seem so useless but that's not true. If you are going for a eyeshadow look and you want a really light shimmery lid then apply any white PENCIL eye liner all over your eye prior to the shadow. It helps brighten the color and make it stay longer. #1: apply all your eye makeup before you even begin your face makeup... When you are working with eye shadow there is always going to be fall out and that fall out will just get all over your fresh laid face makeup then when you rub it off... Boom a black smudge of eye shadow just ruined your concelar. Don't do it. Eye makeup first then face makeup. Well I promised a post and you have received even though it's 11 at night. MY B but I had to get something up before I had a panic attack. So I'm gonna kinda give you the low down on how I curl my hair. So I have very natural thick and straight hair so if this works for me it should for anyone. Even though my hair is naturally straight it curls and holds curl well. So anyway when curling my hair I use a inch curling iron and preferably one that reaches well over 400 degrees. ALWAYS use some type of heat protection spray so you aren't going to fry your hair. But I use a inch curling iron and it can have a clip it doesn't matter. So when I start with my very bottom layer of hair I use decently big chunks of hair and wrap them around the iron, like a wand, for about 8-10 seconds or until a good curl has formed. I don't spend as much time of the bottom because no one really sees it. It's there to help with length. Next is my middle layer and I take more time here. I use the same technique with smaller chunks and I hold for a longer time. Then same with top, longer time little bit smaller pieces. Don't be afraid to brush it out. Your curls won't come out if you just brush it or even run your fingers through it. Lastly you can use hair spray. I don't hair spray because I hate crusty hair but you do you. Sorry for a late post but I had to get something on here. Gnight loves 💖👋🏽 Okay so today it's all about eyeliners. It's honestly hard for me to get on here and tell you guys my favorite eye liner because what I like isn't what everyone else is going to like or what is going to be easiest for everyone else to use! Personally I'm a liquid eye liner person but luckily I've tried and heard enough about other types of eye liner to be able to share with you guys the best of the best. So first we will go with liquid. My two favorite liquid eye liners of alllll time are Nyx Liquid Matte Eye Liner and NYC Liquid liner! Both of these are just really good liquid liners they drive fast and matte. They are both fairly in expensive you purchase both at ulta or drug stores the NYC one is like $4 and the NYX one like $6. Some people are more of a liquid eyeliner person. It does take time to get good at using a liquid liner but liquids are by far the best in my opinion. Another type of liner is gel. Gel is basically like a little container with a creamy substance inside that is another for of eyeliner. There was a point where gel eye liner was the only kind I used. It takes time to get good with gel eye linear as well. You apply it with a angled brush of and small brush you can find. If you have typically oily eyelids gel eye liner is NOT for you. It will smear and not look so good. The best I have ever use is Maybelline gel liner. You can find it anywhere like ulta or drug stores. It's usually around $8. The last of the linears is the basic pencil eye liner. These are the oldest form of eye liner and I usually only use these for lining my water line how ever they can be used for top eye liner I just feel like liquid or gel would look much better. Any pencil is fairly inexpensive. My favorite are the NYX jumbo eye pencils and they have SOOO many color options. You can get these at ulta or drugstores as well for around $3-$4! 😇😇 Okay well I'm super sad because I made a sweet video showing about how I clean my makeup brushes and I guess it's a pro feature to be able to put videos on your blog ;-( sad but oh well! I will be linking the video on my Instagram so if you wanna see go look! @_phbeauty! Anyways I decided to show you guys how I clean my brushes because cleaning your makeup brushes is realllly realllly important. You are supposed to clean them every week but ain't nobody got time for all that. I clean them about 3 or 2 times a month at the most. The amount of makeup and dirt in your brushes will amaze you. It's quite disturbing lol. If you don't clean your brushes regularly you are just putting dirt and bacteria on your face when you use them. I usually clean my brushes around 7:30-8 pm and let them dry over night! The soap I used is amazing and it's Dr. Bronners soap from target for $5!! Again sorry for the inconvenience but I have the video on my Instagram 😇 Okay so something important for any girl or guy wearing makeup to know is the importance of skin care. If you become obsessed with makeup then an obsession with skin care products will follow right along. It's so important to take care of your skin if you are going to be wearing makeup. If not you will get acne and dark spots and wrinkles and no one wants to be looking 80 at 35. So I'm gonna share one of my most prized possession in the skin care world. The Lush Mask of Magnaminty. Holy crap this stuff is heavenly. This face mask is alllll for deep pore cleaning and getting rid of dirt and debris packed in your skin. This facial mask is packed full of peppermint, kaolin, and scrubby aduki beans for deeply cleaned skin. This face mask is like what every girl would imagine a face mask to be like. I use this after I wash my face and I only use it about once a week or regularly if I'm battling bad acne. I apply a thick amount allll over my face and let sit for about 10-15 minutes or until it is hard. Then I use a rag and warm water to wipe it off. When wiping it off I rub in circular motions to really scrub my face good. Afterwards my face feels magical. I highlyyyyy recommend this to anyone who just wants to keep their face clear and pretty! I ordered my mask from Lush.com for $13 or you can buy the bigger jar for $25! :-) I knew I would end up having to make this huge rant so that any douche people making rude comments would throughly understand as to why I started this blog and would shut their mouths. You see the beauty industry is the number one growing industry in the world and grosses like $160 billion dollars per year. Well a lot of this money comes from bought makeup products from expensive makeup venders such as Lorac, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Too Faced, Benefit and etc. Well the woman out their buying all these products didn't just wake up and figure to go buy them randomly. They had to have heard about these products from someone somewhere. That's where a beauty blogger comes in. You see beauty bloggers get paid to make YouTube videos and post what they use. That's like their career. And on top of it all they get sent boat loads of the newest products just to try them out and talk about them. Beauty bloggers get paid through monthly amounts through YouTube. Based on your subscribers and followers you can make any where from $54,000 to $10,000 a month just from talking about products... Like come on. And beauty bloggers are more likely to get asked for modeling and a lot of them often begin their own make up lines and products. Now do you understand where I'm getting with this. It all depends on followers and how well you promote yourself. You can't just wake up one day and have 10 million followers and be making a whole bunch of money. Everyone has to start somewhere. And that's what I'm doing. If you have a problem with me trying to reach towards my goals and dreams then just keep your mouth shut. I mean I started this 5 days ago and already have about 550 views. That's quite good if you ask me. Even if you're hating you're giving me views 😉 what's the point in putting someone else down who is trying to make something big out of themselves? But it doesn't bother me. To anyone out there really working hard and still believing in their dreams do you and don't worry about anyone else. Those people won't matter when you are doing what you love and making money. Pursue what you want and what you love so you can always be happy. 💖 |
